Problem and Solution

Today we studied Problem and Solution. First, the teacher opened the Cambridge Dictionary Online.

The words:
-problem 
-solve 
-solution
Then, the teacher gave us the handout. After that, we read the Problem and Solution and she explained. We read the example in the handout and she explained us about problem and solution markers.

Then, we did the skill practice in the handout: circle the Problem Markers and highlight the Solution Markers then write either Problem or Solution in the margin next to the relevant information.

We spent a long time to do. After we did it finished, the teacher gave us the corrective feedback. Then, the teacher told us to do the exercise 1.

Writing the main idea in the text was difficult. So I tried to do it carefully and used skimming skill, if the content is a lot.   

I think the skill practice activity was easy for me.    

I used the Discourse Markers of the Problem and Solution.

Today we studied Exemplification. It’s very hot because of Air condition broke again. The teacher read and explained the text. It is about species of whales so divided into toothed and baleen. She taught technique when we read the text, we should notice keywords and discourse markers.  

The teacher gave us a handout and searched the words of this lesson.

-illustrate

The teacher explained us about commonly used abbreviations and transitions in exemplification text.

We did Text 1: Read the text and complete the diagram then highlight the Exemplification Markers”.
Then, we did the text 2: read the text and answer the questions correctly. The teacher told us highlight the words.    
The text 3: read the text and answer the questions correctly. 
And then, we did the text 4 quickly. The teacher gave us the corrective feedback. And it’s time watching VDO of four group.

I think the some words were difficult so I searched on dictionary online.
I used the discourse markers of exemplification to do the activities in the handout.
I enjoyed with VDO. It’s fun, funny and made me feel hungry too.

Today I didn't come because of sick. And my  friend kept the worksheet. I read and tried to do by myself. Classification was easy. I understood it. I checked the answer of my friend. It was correct. But I didn't understand definition so I made my friends taught. I still confused. I think it was difficult.
