Narrative continues and Descriptive

First my friends summarized “Secrets” and told what did activity yesterday. Then we made group of 4 people to discuss about 4 symbols in the short story.

-Kylie’s cutting of the photos

And Sittichai was the represent of our group to present in front of class. We thought it's about abortion.

Then we started Descriptive. Teacher opened the photos of dragonfly, ant and Komodo and we shared idea about appearance, diets and habitat of them. I presented in front of class. Then we read about Komado and wrote in diagram.

I think analyzing photo was easy and fun. 

The symbols in Secret were difficult so I discussed with friends.

I used diagram and language feature.

I think Descriptive is interesting. I feel happy.

Today was makeup class. Teacher read and explained the short story “Secret” part one. Then we made group of 4 people. We shared idea in our group. We summarized and presented in front of class. After that we read the second part and did activity about circle.

I think exercise C was easy. The story was difficult because it had difficult word so I searched on the internet.

I used the orientation, complication and climax to comprehend this short story.   😋

Recount continued and Narrative

Last time teacher assigned homework exercise 3 

(An Excursion to the Botanic Gardens) and 4.          

So teacher answered the questions. Then we read the news “Five Vietnamese nationals were arrested for stealing cash” and answered the questions. Next we read “Investigation report”, made group, represent summarized in front of the crass and answered the questions.

After that we started studying Narrative by doing activity about how I feel as a child. It’s circle, we mark the score for each topic and compared with friends. 

Then we read Secrets by Tim Winton in paragraph 1-2. And teacher explained.

I think exercise 3 and 4 were easy but Investigation report was difficult. So I tried to listen friends presenting.

I used part tense to answer the questions and language features in reading.

I think Secret story was interesting.

The weather was very hot because of air conditioner broke.

We read “Furious Pace in Hockey Finals” and “My Grandpa’s Funeral in Toraja” The teacher taught text organization and language Features. We underlined and answered the questions. The teacher searched the words that we didn’t know from the text so we understood more.

I think underlining from the question of language features was easy but the words were difficult so I searched on dictionary and listened the teacher said.

I used the text organization and language feature in analyzing the text.

Homework: Interesting experiences

I have ever been Moddang camp since I studied in M.5 It was fun. It made me have friends more. It was a great experience for me.

Today is the first day of this semester. We started studying in “A discourse approach in reading” by Dr. Usa Noytim. Teacher explained this course. Then we talked about our vacation.

I went to Kao Joan water fall with my family. I swam and took a lot of photos. And we ate papaya salad in lunch. It was very spicy but delicious.

After that we did the exercise in worksheet It had three part. First we matched the words genres of the text, second completed the sentences by using conjunction and finally rewrite the sentences that necessary changes.

I think part three in worksheet was easy but using conjunction in part two was difficult so I tried to read the sentences carefully.

I used past tense to talk with my friends.
